Hello, Adbongo:  See you this Thursday at the Ribbon Cutting…  I had sent these procedures to you previously.  Here is a copy which gives a highlight of the actual 15-minute ceremony.

Welcome to the Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce! As a new member, you are invited to participate in our special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

Our Role…

– The Chamber office will coordinate a convenient date/time with you (at least 4-6 weeks in advance).  Favorable days/times to generate higher attendance are Tuesdays/Wednesdays  11:30 am – 11:45 am (light lunch style)  or 1:30 pm – 1:45 pm (refreshments style).

–  The Chamber Branch Bulletins will advertise your Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

–  The  Ambassadors Club Committee will participate as event greeters

–  The Chamber ceremonial ribbon and golden shears will be used for the ceremony

–  The Branch Business Newsletter and the Dallas Morning News – Local Edition will feature an article/photographs taken at the event

 

Your Role…

–  Invite your Ribbon Cutting Participants and Guests

–  Provide light refreshments  (Optional:  Some hosts may choose to provide a light lunch)

–  Provide a door prize for the business card drawing (Optional)

 

Day of Event…(15-minute ceremony)

–  Welcome to Guests (1 minute) –By Chamber Leader

–  New Member Host Spotlight (3 minutes) – By Member Host

–  Chamber Member 10-second spotlight (4-5 minutes) – By All

–  Presentation of Chamber Plaque (2 minutes) – By Chamber Leader

–  Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Photo (3 minutes) - All

–  Invite Guests for Refreshments / Mix ‘n’ Mingle (1 minute) – By Member Host

–  Business Card Drawing (Optional – Prize Gift)- By Member Host
